The free standing entrance feature was created using a mild steel framework with heavy duty CHS column supports taken to large concrete foundation bases below ground level. Extra support for the cantilever glazed sections was provided by the use of tension rod connectors fixed to the front edge of the glazed areas and to the main supports at higher levels. Glazing panels of clear toughened safety glass were fixed above the framework using a stainless steel planar type fixing system. Gutters and down pipes were provided to the rear of the feature. All steelwork was fully decorated using a heavy duty exterior grade high gloss paint system.
