A considered architectural package across two landmark Canary Wharf hotels.

As part of the external works package for two high-profile hotel developments in Canary Wharf, we were engaged to design, manufacture and install a coordinated range of cladded canopies and mild steel balustrade systems. The works formed a key part of the external envelope, contributing to both the visual identity and functional performance of the buildings.

"A considered architectural intervention that enhances key external spaces across two landmark Canary Wharf hotels"

The brief required a refined and consistent architectural language that could be carried across multiple elevations and building interfaces, while also meeting the demands of a high-traffic, exposed London environment.

Integrated steelwork and cladding solutions.

Working closely with the design and delivery teams, we developed a series of bespoke canopy structures and balustrade systems tailored to the specific requirements of each hotel. The canopies provide robust weather protection to key arrival and circulation points, while maintaining a clean, contemporary profile that complements the wider façade treatment.

The mild steel balustrade systems were designed to provide safety and durability across external walkways, terraces and access routes, while aligning with the architectural intent through carefully resolved detailing and finishes.

All elements were fully coordinated in 3D prior to fabrication, ensuring integration with the existing structure and surrounding envelope, and manufactured in-house under strict quality control standards.

A unified external presence.

The completed installation delivers a consistent and considered architectural finish across both hotel schemes. The canopies and balustrades work together as part of a unified external language, enhancing key arrival points and circulation routes without overpowering the architecture.

The result is a robust, low-maintenance solution that supports the long-term performance of both developments while reinforcing their presence within the Canary Wharf estate
